Great Condition
After a hard and testing winter, the course is in Great Condition due to the hard work of the Green keeping staff, the food after the game was very tasty, served by Jo who is alright, well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

A fantastic day at the 26th birthday bash yesterday. Superbly organised, course in fantastic condition and BBQ out of this world. Members and guests alike were all delighted.Rusper is truly a gem of a golf club.
As for review below from Terry M - you must have been at a different course mate!

Greens etc
As a member at Rusper I was saddened by the recent review. Rusper is one of the cheapest courses in the area. It is extremely challenging. Considerating the recent extreme conditions the course is bearing up pretty well. The greens are not as fast as they might be because our experienced green keepers know that cutting the grass any shorter would lead to long term damage. Surely a decent golfer would realise the speed of the greens and adapt their game accordingly.Reviewer Rating

Although I realise how difficult it is to maintain golf course in this sort of extreme weather, the fairways were expectedly dry, however, although the greens looked in good condition they were extremely slow handicapping putting. I also think the price per round is expensive and also the buggies, there is no indication of club house facilities being built and the whole aesthetics of the club as a whole is drab.Reviewer Rating

One happy Golfer
This is a response to the unhappy person who has just insulted our club, our owners, our course, and our loyalty which obviously they do not have. Some members and the owners are trying very hard to make Rusper golf club a place to be proud of,the course last year was in excellent condition (I guess you never saw much of the fairways and the greens they were great I think you must good you missed them out,as far as the family that took over the running of the club we all have to start somewhere and they are trying very hard,as for yourself your remarks are not helpful and if this is your attitude stay away and make more room for nice people to play a beautiful game on a beautiful course when the weather permits, this year all courses have suffered and a lot of them have been closed but although wet Rusper has tried to remain open and if you speak to the staff politely they are helpful so please instead of knocking them for trying. Regards a happy golfer at Rusper.Reviewer Rating

A high quality challenge!!!
Given the difficulty with very wet conditions and grass that is still growing at a ridiculous rate, I found this course to be in great condition. The rough is a bit long, but you will just need to know how to use an 8 iron properly. The greens are true and interesting. For value for money this is a great find and a proper golfers challenge. It is also not one of those places where it, or the members, are up themselves. Try the food, it is excellent!!!!Reviewer Rating

The investment over many years makes Rusper playable in virtually all conditions...just more difficult sometimes. Go for it !!!

Not what it was
Not played Rusper for 3 years so was really disappointed to see how the course had deteriorated in that time Rusper had a reputation for a really well turned out golf course stadly that seems to have been lost by the new managementReviewer Rating

Happy member
I saw the comment from London about his visit on Saturday, and thought I'd respond. He played on the day that storm Brian was coming in, not an ideal day. We'd had a lot of rain already, and are on clay so, yes, it can get wet, but unplayable ? not sure I agree. As for the greens, we have had disease on them, but all except the 10th are recovering nicely, they are just a little slow. Rusper is a great golf course, and a friendly club. Please don't let one negative review put you off.Reviewer Rating

Excellent Course
I played Rusper this morning (20/09/2017) and have played it many, many times before. It is a truly excellent course which has actually been very well looked after and has been much improved over the past year or so. The first couple of holes provide a gentle introduction but subsequent holes provide a challenge for golfers at all levels. Both fairways and greens have benefitted from Grant's, (the head greenkeeper's), knowledge and experience and are in better condition than many on courses costing twice as much to play. The owners and staff are all exceptionally welcoming and the food is very good both in terms of taste and value for money. I cannot recommend Rusper highly enough.Reviewer Rating
