The course was in reasonably good condition given the time of year (January). Some of the greens were a little rough but this was due mainly to the number of pitch marks that had not been repaired (a constant bug bear) I thought that the sand on the well trodden paths was an excellent idea and one that could be used on some other courses that get boggy during the winter months. Teeing grounds were a mixture of winter and grass tees and were very good. Clubhouse facilities are excellent and staff very friendly and helpful.

Fairly flat. Heavy week of rain followed by 2 dry days before we played. Was surprisingly dry underfoot. Good greens considering the time of year. Cups could use some TLC

Rookwood GC near Horsham is one of the very best municipal courses you will ever play. Playable most of the year, at 6008 yards off the yellows and GBP 25 green fees, this parkland course is also great value for money. Not a boring hole on this 18 hole track. Every player has his/her favourite (and most aggravating) holes. A challenging course, but very possible to play to your handicap or better. Very easy on the eye and with excellent bar and catering facilities in the converted Sussex barn. You will enjoy a round here.
