Reading Golf ClubA golf course has been on the present site since 1910, originally known as Caversham and South Oxon Golf Club. Shortly before the Second World War, the simpler title of Reading Golf Club was adopted. The original 12 holes were designed by James Braid and a further 6 holes were added in 1911, although there have been various alterations throughout the years.

Golf course review of Reading Golf Club

I've played this course several times now at different times of the year and have never been disappointed with it. It's always immaculate. Spot on fairways, receptive greens that run fast and true, and many cracking holes. The stroke index 1 is an absolute beast! And the par 3 15th(from an elevated tee over a valley to a green perched on the edge of a hill) are particular favorites. A great day out what ever the weather.
