Only the second time I have played at Ramsey, and in 2012 it rained for the whole round. Finally got to see where I was going, and I lilke the course a lot. It's very flat, which helped, as this was the Ramsey Seniors Open. Good test of golf, which is easier to play the second time around, as there are wquite a few blind tee shots. Buy a yardage chart and trust ow far you can hit the ball!!

still worth a visit
after the long break course looked and played a little dated , poor greens and fairways not cut, but now played 3 times in last 6 weeks the course looks the part , greens run true and staff always very welcoming , just a note though 9 holes after work for ?15 a little steep I thought .will always come at least once a month as its only minutes from work , well worth a visit and see for yourself.

A big hit
Just played with my son and friend and was very pleased with the course. It was a hot day and the conditions were perfect. It's a mature parkland nice greens etc. Friendly place also a challenge . Very busy had to wait between tees but I guess better being busy than not. My friend called it a hidden Gem,Reviewer Rating

Usually only play here once per year in their Senior Open. It is a good course for seniors - nice and flat, although there are a number of blind tee shots. Greens are usually quite quick, and there is enough water around to keep things interesting without being too challenging. We have always been well looked after by the staff and members and I have no hesitation in recommending the course.

Never played here before. Horrible conditions made the course much tougher than I imagine it normally plays. Some interesting tee shots with various obstructions in line of sight etc and well placed bunkers too. With the constant rain on the day the semi rough was bloody horrible, lying over the ball etc so you didn't have to go far off line to find trouble. Several doglegs make it interesting though it's also pretty flat so easy enough to walk. Very friendly in the club house and food was good post round. Would like to play again in the dry.

A very attractive and testing course tight fairways and mature trees makes straight hitting a must . Very well looked after and definately worth a visit .

Parkland gem

Unfriendly aggressive members, unpleasant atmosphere and the layout of the course causes a bottleneck. Tee timed are not monitored or controlled. Handy if you want to turn up and play but not good when you do book and find a 4 ball cutting in front of you.

Hargrave Society
Played the course yesterday as part of a society day. Weather was great and course was in good condition. Fairways could have done with a cut but proved difficult due to recent extreme weather. Greens were very good. Hospitality before and afterwards in the club house were excellent and staff could not have done anymore to make us more welcome.
