Pyrford Golf Club
Pyrford is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and wildlife. Ringed by magnificent woodland the fairways weave between sculptured mounds and the 23 acres of lakes, fringed with bulrushes, reeds and lilies, give the course its distinctive and unique characteristic with water ever present.
The 6,230 yard course is separated into 2 loops providing a choice of starting positions. Every hole is different and whilst the course may not be the longest by today’s modern designs a good score will require careful strategy and use of every club in your bag. The best players may well be tempted to take on the challenge of longer carries yet the design gives the less experienced player a safer and more productive route.
Different combinations of tee positions provide a challenge for players of all abilities and the unique design ensures no two rounds are the same.

Location: From the A3 heading North follow signposts for Wisley Gardens. Do not turn into the gardens, instead pass through Wisley village and continue for 2 miles until you reach a T-junction. Turn left, Pyrford Golf Club is on your left after a 1/4 mile.

Serious challenge, there is water everywhere so bring plenty of balls. Greens are almost always perfect (and quick). Only downside is the walk between the front and back nines does disrupt the flow of your game a touch.

Sorry to say but another disappointing Crown golf centre. Played quite a few of them and only 3 so far that I like or are challenging. Facilities are good tho. Why is it that the course planners are so useless? Yardages & items on them are so vague is hard to play a shot with true confidence

Course and greens in excellent condition - club house stopped serving food at 16:00 (midweek) though

Nice course but way too short off the yellows.
All par 3s under 150 yards !
You can only hit driver on 1 par 5 !
over use of water across fairways to make up for lack of length !
Would only play again if allowed off the whites.

Not a particularly long or difficult course as long as you hit the ball straight and stay out the water (17 of 18 holes) then you'll shoot a good score.
A typical Crown Golf course and facilities.

outstanding course but very hard has loads of water 16 out of 18 holes have water infact, i play off 11 and lost around 8 balls wasnt playing my best but u need to be very accurate and think about every shot.
course was in fantastic condition must say best course i have played in this country

This is one of my favorite courses. 17 of the 18 holes have water on it, and even though it is relative expensive if I lived in Surrey this would be one place I would have a membership with. The course is relatively flat, but the landscpae has been sculptured and a number of times you play over water to tee off, play into the green or it lies at the side of the fairway and green ready to gobble up poor shots. Love it, want to play it now.

Great course if you like water! Big hitters can leave the driver in the car as its all about placement with this course. Always in good condition, busy at weekends and a little pricey but recommended if you like to think your way round a course.
