What the club says: Prince's, with its 27 holes (3 loops of 9 holes) of championship Links has hosted the Open Championship and is currently an Open Qualifying Course. Prince's offers all that is best in modern links golf: a centrally located clubhouse offering magnificent views over the course and Pegwell Bay and helpful, attentive staff who understand your needs.

Good links experience
Good 3 x 9 hole courses so you can mix and match. Nice 19th upstairs and friendly staff. They ran out of electric trollies to hire by 8.30am on a Saturday morning and forgot to put out the red tees on the Dunes 9th...but otherwise a good experience!

Worth the trek, but wont be back
Always wanted to play at Princes (Royal St Georges next door is too darn expensive) and with a 2 for 1 voucher it was good VFM. Lovely day, but windy - which is all part of the challenge. Not the most friendliest of clubs, but OK. The course was in good condition, the rough was penal but fair and the greens were imaculate. Enjoyed the front 9 (Shore, played in 2 hours) but the back 9 on the Dunes was tougher and soooo slow (played in over 3 hours due to very slow 4 balls ahead of us). All in all, I enjoyed the course, but certainly would not pay full price for the experience. Scotland - you are so much better!

Visited for the first time 29/4. True links course, right next to the beach, friendly reception and good facilities. Fortunate to have great weather and a moderate breeze but the course was still a challenge. Usual tough bunkers and undulating fairways however the par 3s gave you the chance to get some shots back.

Shore course was better than the Himalayas course. Greens were disappointing and slow. Course generally very dry and quite untidy in places. But it's golf as natural as you will find anywhere.

This is a fantastic links course and the rough is actually quite forgiving . I kept the same ball all the way round amazingly enough . The wind is a natural part of the course and it makes you think about each shot . Really enjoyed my two days play here and the accommodation is excellent. The only downer would be that it is very poorly signed between the holes . we actually played the wrong par three once . (17 handicap)

good course, in particular the Himalayas loop. The greens were very sandy and slow when we played mid March.

Played Shores and Dunes one day followed by Himalayas the next, heavy rain stopped us playing further, but considering the weather the course was in good condition. We got a winter deal one night stay in the Lodge, evening meal, breakfast and two rounds for £99, this was great value for money and we were made to feel very welcome. Would certainly go again and would recommend, just the weather to take into account.

Martin D rated 3 out of 5 - Sep 28 2016

Played the Shore followed by the Dunes, which seemed a good combination. With strong winds some holes played much longer than expected even keeping to the fairways. In some places the rough was tall and thick, so hard to find your ball and drives had to be long to find the fairways. Bunkers were challenging especially the monster on Dunes 5. Nonetheless, the greens were relatively fast and true so that helped. Take lots of balls and you may well enjoy it.

Top 100s
Harold B rated 4 out of 5 - Jul 11 2016

Wonderful conditions with the course layout and surface conditions very good. Rough too long at fairway edges and excessive in course boundary, offering no recovery to fairways even with ball found. Bunkers were fearsome but lacked bunker sand making bunker recovery near impossible to play correctly.... but all this aside one of the best courses around with exceptional quality greens.

I booked this course and accommodation as part of annual golf trip. The lodge (apartments) were great, the best onsite golf accommodation that I have stayed in to date.

I will recommend this course and accommodation to all that I know.
