Painswick Golf ClubA parkland course at 5,000 yards with a par of 67, the course is very natural in an amazing setting atop the Painswick Beacon. There are several blind spots into and out of a 3000 year old hill fort. The course is steeped in History going back to 1891. The course has many quirky holes that will make an interesting round.

Location



Location: From the M5 junction 11A, head towards Cirencester on the A417. Leave the A417 at the first junction (signposted Birdlip). Turn right onto the A46 and head towards Stroud. Painswick is about 6 miles further down. Approaching Painswick on the A46 from the north, watch out for Golf Course Road on the right, on a tight bend half a mile before the village. If you overshoot, don't worry - continue to the village and take the first right into Gloucester Road and approach the clubhouse from the other end of Golf Course Road.

Very unusual course, lots of criss crossing fairways, and blind flags, very hilly and a difficult walk. Overall enjoyed the course as it was so unusual
