Offering a good deal to attract new members but unwilling to offer any concession on around of golf prior to joining. Having never played the course I and my golfing partner were unwilling to join without playing the course first. Seems very short sighted but their loss is another golf clubs gain.

the staff are friendly and welcoming but the course is , well where shall I start, very very poor, there simply is not enough space to fit a decent 18 hole course, it would make quite a good 9 hole course with some investment, but as an 18 hole does not work, too many holes are too short, tees and greens overlap, so your having to wait for someone on another tee area or green nearby to finish, every green is too small (save for the par 3's) and there has been no thought given to the design, made up as they went along, the last 4 holes are the only ones that can be described as good, 15th and 16th in particulare are very good. Just Thankful we paid via groupon, never worth the asking £25 and even at half that price I will not be visiting again, ever..no challange, greens in good nick but much too small (pitch and putt greens) and too many short or ordinary holes, such a waste of time and regretably a disapointment

What can I say about Maywood? I was a member here in 1980 and the course hasn't progressed or matured since. I last played after a dry spell and the tee boxes and fairways were bone hard, the greens rough, variable over the course and scalped in places. It just isn't very well maintained, which is a shame.If you play there, the first is hard work, the 4th is a tempting drive, but it gets a bit flat after that.
Not a very good review, take it with a pinch of salt and try it for yourself (on a 2 fore 1 if poss) and see what you think. I can't because I'm not very welcome anymore.

Haven't played here for a while, coarse in good nick fog the time of year, full greens but off matts.

Course very wet when played, shouldnt really have been open. Playing off mats too. Wasnt overly impressed, but maybe because of the weather.

Nice course, lovely fast greens and great setting. Which is why it was a shame we had to finish at hole 13 owing to ridiculously slow play ahead, un marshalled. Seriously, 10 minute wait's on the tees and chance to sleep between shots on the fairways would have meant 6 hours plus. This may have been an off day but would seriously doubt I'd take the chance again.

I found the faiways to be patchy and the green are just not receptive at all. All shots have to ran onto the green. Decent value for money at £13.00 and a lovely welcoming clubhouse. Don't think i will be back again though.

Enjoy this challenging but fair course, some great holes to test your game. Position is important on some holes, so resist taking driver off the tee as you are rewarded for staying on fairways. Always friendly staff and members. Hole 16 is a test, as the green has a stream running around the entire front portion with a bunker and pond waiting for overhit shots at the back. Club selection and position is important to give yourself every chance of making the green.

Good value
Played 18 holes course in nice condition, some changes seem to be occurring from last time I played, card didnt match some holes, i.e. 12 which from memory seems to have been shortened.(Round played: Jul 2017 - Score: 100 Handicap: 20.6)
