Machrihanish Golf course is a generous 6,225 yards in length. Measuring 3,101 yards and featuring eight par 4's and a single par 3 on the inward nine, and the outward nine measuring 3,124 yards and featuring two par 5's just over 500 yards each and three par 3's. The 18 hole course here features some of the most 'natural' golfing ground you will find anywhere in the world, with the course completely natural with no man made structures, mounds or hazards that werent already in place.

Stunning just stunning, flight from Glasgow early morning and met by taxi mini bus which took us to the club house. Very warm welcome with bacon rolls and coffee, pro shop equally as accomodating and then the opening tee shots. Glad to say we all made it and we were off, course was just amazing and every hole was a new challenge - especially as the wind increased in strength with each hole we came too. I would recommend this trip to anyone at least once in your lifetime and for us it was so good we are already talking about our trip next year.

Most natural golf course I have ever played, from the moment launch your opening tee shot over the Atlantic ocean you are in awe of the natural links layout and the rolling dunes, golf how it was meant to be played.

A fantastic course with reputedly the best first tee in the world - certainly features in the 1000 holes to hit before you die book that I saw the other day. Make sure you get a good weather report before you go - not pleasant in the rain/high winds. However, a stunning course with some very tricky fairways. Don't stray to the right hand side on any of the holes as you will lose it in the long rough!!
