What the club says: Our Golf Club is situated by the village of Southend in a glorious setting on the south coast of the Kintyre peninsula.

The course is a fine Par 66 18 hole natural links extending to 4,799 yards. High and low handicappers alike will enjoy its testing layout, the springy turf on the undulating fairways and arguably one of the finest set of greens in Scotland.

Spectacular views over the landscape, Sanda Island to the south, Ailsa Craig and Ayrshire to the east and Northern Ireland to the south west, will add to the golfer’s enjoyment of this challenging and exceptionally well maintained course

A really good, well maintained course which our satnav had a little difficulty finding when almost on top of it. Could benefit from a sign on the road. That said, a great course with friendly locals.

Really good, challenging and well maintained course. Friendly clubhouse and fellow golfers. Good food and drink in the very comfortable clubhouse. Did not use practice facilities.

I have played this golf course occasionally since I was a child, a long time ago. Every time I come back I appreciate the place more and more. Playing Dunaverty is a truly enriching experience, the course is not long but there are some very tricky par 3s. Some of the views are world class. The first 2 or 3 holes, and the last, are average but from hole 4 to 17, Dunaverty is a very special place to play golf.

Great little course full of character and charm. First thing to note was the use of electric fences to keep the cattle of the greens. Lovely setting hugging the coast. Lots of short par 4 and par 3. Had a great afternoon.

Fantastic short course, entertaining old style golf, blind approaches, holes on shelves, holes in hollows, luck plays a part. Wonderfully scenic, views of the coast and inland. Compared to Shiskine, for instance, this course is much better. Course in superb condition - true running consistent greens, well maintained fairways.

Sunny day but very windy which made it very testing on the front 9. Greens are improving after a very wet winter.

First few holes are a little strange but after these course becomes much more challenging. Greens are great and in excellent conditions couldn't spot one pitch mark. Make sure you play this course if on the Mull of Kintyre a great warm up for the Machrihanish courses

We arrived to a huge lake on the 18th green after a thunder storm and were told what do think boys, we went out and the course was fantastic, only one hole that had surrendered to a big puddle around the hole. By the time we got back to the finishing hole the lake was gone and we had enjoyed ourselves greatly on a course that was in fantastic condition considering what it had gone through a few hours before. Well worth a visit for the course, the scenery and the welcome.
