Enjoyed a good morning's golf, the front 9 whilst not too difficult to navigate you do have to have an awareness of where paths, tees and greens cross from a safety perspective, there are some interesting holes and really enjoyed the back nine.

Nice course. Got the weather, but I'd like to see what the course plays like when it's wet.

A unique course for the area, in that it varies from parkland to heathland. Holes 3 to 10 lie on the most elevated part of the course on the banks of Manchester Ship Canal. It is here the best golf is, with some very memorable holes including the 3rd, 5th, 6th and 9th as some of the best you will find in Cheshire. Greens are usually excellent all year round, and firm. Clubhouse is small, but very new and great for a drink afterwards.
Negatives
Shame that you cant play off fairways in the winter - (you have to lift and place in the nearest semi, or play off a mini mat).
Cant help thinking that if they sculpted the bunkers a little better (in the true challenging style of a heathland - ala Ganton) and tarted up the tee boxes then it would be really great. Some more ball washers wouldnt go amiss also!
Overall: Really good course and definitely worth playing
