Once good value. Choice of 2 courses great pitch and putt. Now 1 course foot golf on course.and pitch and putt No golf on main course after 1 pm on Saturday/Sunday changing area/ toilets abysmal. Course nor bunkers maintained properly. Foot golfers shouting/ swearing. Dress attire code non existent.

Course is ok but used to be much better. Has suffered from reduced funding from the council and has been under threat of closure for a while. As a result, to keep money flowing in, they let absolutely anyone on. I was stuck behind a twoball wearing t-shirts, tracksuit bottoms and trainers, hacking their way to each hole (4 shots to get to a par 3 green and 8 to get to one par 4). The course has suffered, fairways have unreplaced divots, bunkers have footprints in (and quite a few stones) and greens are covered in unrepaied pitchmarks. The driving range is closed (presumably to save money) and everyone is being told it will reopen in the next few days, but that's what they were saying a month ago as well. This could be a good course again as it has a nice layout but it needs money spending on it and golfers to respect it.

hard ground gave a lot of run out on the fairways. good greens condition but the bunkers need more sand. Starting to get very dry in places

A course with two personalities; Winter = wet, muddy, still playable, but not as enjoyable. Summer = great condition for any golf course, not just a municipal, all the greens, fairways and tees were in top form right through the summer. The course is very interesting to play with a diverse range of holes and each having their unique obstacles.

What a difference the dry weather has made to this course WOW
The greens were emasculate like a snooker table but were great speed all round
Fairways were clean and nicely firm but still takes a divot if needed too
Had a great day even when the mower chopped my ball on the 13th (council course for you)
Booking for next week right now Happy Days - wish it would drain better on wetter days

Overpriced
