Bunkers are a joke greens no good not seen course in sutch bad condition

Played today course in good condition but very hilly most of greens unsighted so guess work as to were you are aiming very long walks round to get to next tee or walking back on yourself not enjoyable will not play again

Played this course today and was expecting a few tee shots over marker posts. Wasn't expecting to then be playing blind shots to flags you couldn't see and in some cases even greens you couldn't see. Greens were in pretty poor condition too so I can honestly say I won't be rushing back to play here again.

Only played 14 holes due to the fact that the signage was non existent. Course itself was challenging and in not too bad nick.

Currently Golf but not as we know it
The course has benefited from not being in use but the big downside is the ongoing weather. Sadly there are no watering facilities on the course so the fairways are rock hard making it a lottery of whether you get a favourable bounce or not, not too bad if it's a flatish links course but not good when it's hilly. The greens are like concrete and almost impossible to hold a shot .Scenery lovely as always, just needs the fire taking out of the course but great to be out again and folk friendly. Will be a good challenge if 'normal' weather resumes - well worth a visit

Course still boggy in places, all greens surprisingly open but woolly. Fairways showing a lot of wear due to inconsiderate 'players' not replacing divots.
just good to get out.

the greens were a bit bobbly...cost me a couple of birdies.
At least a bloke came round on a quad bike and sold me some chocolate!

Course dry - bit cut up already (divots)not looking good for summer unless worked on. Greens good fast. WARNING - 13th green by lake - large spread of excrement probably Canada Geese tho' none seen. Was problem @ Wyboston Lakes years ago and ruined golf. Will only get worse unless action taken.

Course very damp after heavy rains, but greens relatively fast and true. bunkers washed out, Fairways boggy in places but otherwise holding up, sadly too many 'scalps' and furrows ploughed in the fairways - why don't people learn the basics and replace divots etc. Tees a bit rough but not on mats. Major change, hole 14 now playing as last - apparently damage to bridge between 15th tee and it's fairway so shortened 15th plays after hole 13.

Fairways fine and being cut again whilst we played. Tees for yellow were the longest I've seen here. Sadly most of the greens were very dry and certainly difficult to hold, also not settled down after spiking etc so bobbly.
Hardest hole SI 1 (15) made too difficult in my view with hard short cut fairway and by cutting the fringe too severely so unless you hit a great drive you are left with a must hit second shot of say 200+ yds to a tight angled green , anything short rolls to be lost in the OOB right. Many played it as a par 5 laying up short of a slope on the fairway or into the fringe left of the fairway which would hold or slow the ball sufficiently to stop it rolling down the slope into OOB, sadly this is not a current option. Suggested a build up on the right or a low board/ kerb barrier to prevent the ball rolling OOB. It is only early season and there has been little rain recently so despite the above the course is good value for money and recommended but beware it's extremely arduous - very hilly.

Course very long, hilly and very challenging. Paid to park my car but still got a parking ticket £25 for being slightly out of a bay, due to the car parked next to me being right on the edge of his bay. What a joke, won’t be returning here !Reviewer Rating
