The Old Course is one of the finest examples of a long estab-lished and mature challenge with its large selection of trees gracing the fairways, and greens to die for!
Headfort New Course:
A fantastic, modern Course which criss-crosses the River Blackwater. Headfort House, built in 1780, and mature trees provide a stunning backdrop to some of the holes. Designed by Ryder Cup hero Christy O'Connor Jnr. At 6,515 metres, it is ranked in the Top Ten Irish Courses. All your golfing skills will be fully tested by this Course.It is hoped to host the Irish Open Championship here in the near future. Book a Tee Time

The golf Course is very basic lots of trees, probably nice in summer. I won't be going back although new course looks ok. marks out of 10 (5)

Played here at the start of December. It had been raining a lot so was fearing the worst when I saw how high the water level was in the river which runs through the course. However, apart from a few extended water hazards from where the river had gone above its normal bank the course was amazingly dry and in very good condition. The only downside was that while the greens were running true they were incredibly slow. I know you need to leave some grass on for protection over the winter, but they were some of the slowest greens I've ever played on. I would hope in the summer time they would improve. But for the price we paid and to get a slot free on a Saturday morning, I was very impressed overall.

great course well looked after would deffo play again ...greens were very good fairways well cut ...light rough not too punishing

This new course is very challenging and will test all manner of player. I will recommend this course to any serious golfer. It will test your accuracy and course management.
