What the club says: Founded in 1895 by the Reverend J.R. Worthington and Mr E.J. Abbott the clubhouse has unique views over the course & a large fishing lake. Recent extensive work on the course & refurbishment of the clubhouse makes this an ideal venue for golfer and non golfer alike. Facilities include; golf, snooker,PGA Professional & shop, large practice area, the finest cuisine to entertain in style.
This is a beautiful course, couple of uphill holes, especially the second. Some very tight fairways from the tee but widen once you leave the tee. Overall I would highly recommend this course. They have spent a lot of money building up new bunkers etc and it now looks a great course. Give it a try if you are in the midlands.

Lovely Golf course fantastic setting what a shame about the food which can only be described as dreadful
Was taken here as a thank you from a friend and from the off was really impressed with not only the course but the friendliness off the pro in the shop and the members out on the course. Excellent layout with great bunkering and great if not the quickest greens. Every hole presents a different challenge to the last.
Tree lined so accuracy not necessarily length is needed. Even when you find the greens being on the "wrong side" can easily lead to a dreaded 3 putt. Definitely worth the visit for anyone in the area looking for a good course to challenge themselves on.
When I review on here I like to think I am honest having played many courses over my life as a golfer. This all day long is a 3 star venue. Its not great but it certainly is not bad. Some good some bad holes and the condition around average that you will find in the midlands with average staff levels and budgets, worth a knock
An amazing course which not easy to find as the entrance is in the middle of a housing estate.
Once parked up though this course has some amazing holes. Highly recommend and please give it a try. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Played last week and I'm not sure we're some of the reviewers have been playing, greens are average at best, it has some great holes but some stinkers too. I agree the course is much better then the area suggests but still an average course in the midlands
Nice course. Fairways good with plenty of run. Greens in excellent condition but difficult to read. Suffered from sixitis

A fantastic course with some great holes. If you have not played this then you certainly need to. Sits right in the middle of a housing estate which makes it all the better as it is very unexpected.

Played this course a couple of years ago so knew the basic layout. Still a fantastic course to be fair. they had started to Hollowtine deveral greens so had 3 or 4 temps. The greens they had not yet reached were in excellent condition for this time of year to be fair. Highly recommend this one guys if in the area.
