by Tim Peck on 22nd September 2008I really liked this course.
Wasn't sure what to expect having read the previous reviews but was very pleasantly surprised. Very well laid out and, to the novice's eye at any rate, well looked after. Yes, the greens may be tight, but the fairways are wide and forgiving. Add to that, a very friendly welcome from the young lady in the Pro shop/office and I can highly recommend this course to anyone driving by J 29, M1 with their clubs in the car and 3/4 hours to spare.

by Richard Lammin on 26th October 2007Played here a couple of times and agree that the greens are tight, short course with only one par 5 but some good par 4's. Good course for beginners like myself and finally shot below 90 (88) which is promising for the 11th time out. The fairways and greens where well kept although 2 winter greens where in use which where hit or miss with the putting. Well worth a go and good value for money

by Phil Eadsforth on 24th April 2007Course is very tight with very small greens. Greens weren't in the best condition and had been forked making putting impossible.
Course is a little hilly but as its only short, not too gruellingThe Course

by Tim Hawkins on 23rd April 2007A strange mixture of a course, tightly packed in to quite a small area, but interesting. A decent test of your short game, only needing to resort to fairway woods or longer irons after a duff tee shot or wayward drive. Only one par 5 (sub 500yd) but some good par 3's. Not the most picturesque course around with views over the scrapyard, burnt out barns and scabby housing estate and not enhanced by what looks like major redevelopment work. Greens had just been heavily spiked (read tramlines) so couldn't say how they would play when in good condition, but they are mostly small and undulating and looked like they could be reasonably fast.
Cheap, cheerful but a bit tatty. Worth a go.The Course
