Matlock Golf Club
The Course is situated on Matlock Moor, about one and a half miles North of Matlock on the Chesterfield Road, rising to 850 feet above sea level. Designed and laid out in 1907 by that famous Professional, the late Tom Williamson, the course generally speaking, calls for accuracy rather than long hitting.
Bentley Brook meanders through the course to give special interest on several holes and the undulating moorland, with its trees, heather, ravines and gullies, provides for a very interesting and testing round of golf, enhanced by superb views down the Derwent Valley. Contact Information

I played this course for the first time in july 2011 with the society that i am in and must say it was in perfect condition the weather was good if slightly windy but had a good round,the greens were the best i have ever played on ,like glass,fabulous, the staff made you feel welcome and the food was excellent,cannot praise the staff green keepers ,catering, management, all BRILLIANT

Thought this was going to be really hilly and tight... But not too bad at all, you are quite high up and on a hill but they've made the most out of it, some really nice elevated tee boxes help them to do this. Would def play there again. Played it in glorious sunshine which helped with the review, not sure i'd fancy it in the cold or wet tho??

A good course in good condition. Greens are excellent. Plenty of hills too which keeps it interesting.

Liked this place alot. very good greens even after the resent rain we had. barr 2 where they were working on them. Very hilly course not a flat hole on it, so recomend a buggy or trolly, i carry and i really did know about it coming up 18. great views over derbyshire worth a trip.
