This course is a real hidden gem, I can't believe it is not in more top 100s, the remodelled 10th is a real solid par 3. For the time of year this course is in excellent condition. Food was excellent, try the curry well worth it.

Newly laid out 10th par 3 is a great hole, so many different ways to play this course, you need to be straight off the tee, not much room for wayward shots, but what a great test of golf. Will be going back next week again. Club sandwich is also great, too much couldn't eat it all !

I played yesterday and joined up with a member, Trevor who played off 9, (more like 2) very friendly guy who told me about all the great new things happening at the club for its centenary year, I didn't realise all the open comps they had ! Already filled in our open forms, a very very good course layout, Trevor told me how to play a few holes to keep a good score going, pro was also very friendly and helpfull. Would love to be a member here, if I lived in the area. PG.

8 of us played and had a great game, some tricky holes that need sensible club selection, course is playing well for the time of year. The Pro Jamie was very friendly and helpful, the members were also very friendly. Didn't have time to try the food but will next time as the menu looked excellent as did the food that was being served at the time. Will definitely return and play we had a great time.

First time I have played GHGC despite living locally. Despite the amount of rain experienced at the club recently the course played very well - important to note that on the day I played all other courses in the local area were closed!
A tree lined course, you quickly learn after a few holes that you need to plot your way around the course if you are going to score to your handicap! I didnt!!
A vast variation of holes, doglegs,- 6th very sharp! combined with a good grouping of par 3's - I enjoyed the game vastly and will undoubtedly be back to play again throughout 2013.
I booked my time via onlineteetimes.co.uk (some great deals on here it seems guys!) and was greeted by the extremely helpful and welcoming Pro - he knew my first name despite me never being there and this was a nice touch. I was also introduced to the very elegant Lady Chairman who showed me to the changing rooms!
I have played a lot of courses in the Midlands recently and it is clear that GHGC are making the efforts to put themselves at the forefront of these courses. I felt the need to write a long review as I like to support the people that are making the efforts!
I recommend this course to anyone and even if the weather is suspectable, on the day I am sure you will be greeted warmly and made to feel welcome and at ease! I'll be back soon GHGC!
P.s - try the Club Sandwich!!!

I've marked as excellent for the time of year and amount of rain we've had, the course has obviously held up well, very enjoyable. Pro and members were all very friendly. Course is a good test so you really need to stay on the fairways. Will definitely return in the new year for their Centenary comps.

An all round excellent course, you could play this course over and over a number of different ways and it would feel like a new course each time, great 10th signature hole

Played on the winter deal this weekend. Course and greens in good condition especially when you consider all the recent wet weather I know several courses in the same area were closed but not Gay Hill which was generally very dry. Talked with a few members who tell me it is always dry, they have a good winter offer on to join (£240 until April), seriously considering joining at this price and a course in this condition after this much rain.

Played this weekend in their Open course was magnificent with greens running true and fast. General course condition was excellent. Had a great day with excellent food, stayed for presentation and was made to feel very welcome. All in all a great day, wish my golf had been better.

Played at Gay Hill many times over the years, always had a great welcome, very freindly club and a good test of golf. Greens have been excellent, course is one of the best in the midlands, good bar area and food is all home made.

Played this course on Friday after playing St Annes old Links, Sandwell park, Fulford heath and Woodhall Spa. This was bar far the best out of all the other I played last week. Greens were fast, fairways were in great condition and the definition was brilliant. On the whole out of those 5 Gay was best condition wise by far especially the greens
