The 18 hole course is set in parkland with magnificent views of the Ribble Valley, part wooded with tree lined fairways, water hazards and bounded by the River Ribble. The course was waterlogged and areas boggy.
If you can leave footprints full of water the course should be closed.
The electric carts were suspended but were able to hire an electric hand cart which saved the little legs.
Again the lunch provided @ £6 each was ample and hot.

This course lies south of Preston just off the M6 at Jct 30.
Parkland with some downhill and uphill holes, plays longer than it looks and is deceptive. Great greens and very well protected, quite quick even in autumn, good fairways and subtle but damaging use of hazards that can shoot your score skywards.
They accept 2fore1 vouchers (making it £15 a rnd)but even so at £30 a round very good value.
Good clubhouse and food, downside and it's a big one, don't play this in winter as it gets very boggy and will cost you plugged/lost balls.
Summertime and it's a must.The Course
