Drayton Park Golf Club
At 6473 yards off the white tees the course is enjoyable for golfers of all handicaps, although it is most rewarding for those golfers who can keep their ball on the straight and narrow.
Drayton Park GC has many features of a typical James Braid course:
* It is not overlong, Drayton Park is 6473 yds
* It has only 2 par 5's
* Only 3 par 3's - difficult to hit and always a challenge
* Narrow tree lined fairways with strategically placed bunkers and well protected greens
* 7 par 4's are between 400 and 450 yardsContact Information

Location: The nearest A34 access is Milton Interchange. We advise using this interchange whether coming from North or South. From The North leave the M40 at junction 9 and head south on the A34. From the South leave the M4 at junction 13 and head North on the A34. Leave the A34 at the Milton Interchange signposted for Didcot and Wantage. Take the exit on the roundabout signposted for Wantage and at the top of the hill turn right at the traffic light controlled junction signposted for Steventon. Head downhill through the village and when you have left the village the Golf Course is on the right hand side immediately after you pass under the A34. Alternative access from the A34 is possible from Abingdon - head towards the town centre and at the double roundabouts (just after a pelican crossing) turn right signposted for Drayton - pass through the village and the Golf Course is on the left hand side just before the road passes under the A34.

Strange Course - Long Hole/short hole combinations make the course out of tilt. Hard to get into a Rhythm. 18th is good finisher though. Par 3's are good to. Rest is OK.

Very well kept course, greens very nice, bunkers in good shape. A challenge if you have problems keeping the ball straight. Many say one of the best courses in the area. Proshop and clubhouse staff excellent, par 3 course and driving range all very good.

A very nice course. well kept and very picturesque apart from all the pylons and cables. if you blank that out it is lovely. An interesting and challenging course that it is very good fun and I would say good for all levels. An excellent driving range which is very good value for money.

Much improved in last couple of months. Driving range revamped and much better value for money. Well maintained course however crows pecking on fairways a nuisance. A challenging course that you need to stay on fairways as fairly unforgiving for off shots.

This is the nearest course to me and ive played it a few times - its cheap for a reason - about 3 good holes, the rest you can just pull the driver out, no though required...
£5.25 for a large bucket of balls on the range!!

Although not overly long, narrow fairways lined by trees and water. Tough Par 3's for high handicapper. Played on a Society day which was £40 for two rounds plus coffee/bacon rolls and excellent carvery lunch.
