What the club says: The Park (De Vere Oulton Hall)
This Dave Thomas designed golf course surrounds the 5* hotel and overlooks a typical Yorkshire landscape of hills and dales. The picturesque parkland course is in the midst of a £7.5m investment from De Vere and is constantly improving with meandering fairways, strategically placed bunkers and subtle, undulating greens. The redevelopment is due to be completed in late 2007, but until then, this excellent course remains a demanding test for golfers of all abilities.

18 holes. Par 71. 6459 yards. Parkland.

What Golfshake says: With 27 holes to choose from you're not going to be disappointed when getting the clubs out here. With the new Nike academy on the range as well you're going to be fully prepared from which ever 18 holes you're going to take on.

course played well even though it was very wet, several greens slower than usual.

The course is extremely boggy at the moment and in parts has been ruined by over-use of buggies

Course ok but overpriced.Easy walking with generous fairways overall.Greens in good condition considering all the rain.A lot better courses for less money.

The rain has not helped over the last couple of weeks but the greens were in splendid condition. However, having played other de vere courses I was disappointed with the course layout. There are only a couple of memorable holes and most are relatively boring with little challenge. Thats probably why i scored 39 points because its a bit too easy. Disappointed. I was expecting much more.

greens very fast; facilities and staff first class; very nice cosy bar for drinks and food after your round. well stocked club shop; driving range available, ample carparking.
