Golf society 12/06/19
Played here on 11th and 12th June 2019. The first day the weather was shocking, raining constantly and the course was starting to hold water but still very playable, we got a members guest rate which was very reasonable at £23. The next day the weather held for us and the course was in amazing condition considering the previous few days weather! The course was enjoyable and well laid out, I found the greens very quick but fair. The pro couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. This place is definitely worth a look, just a pity I couldn’t bring my A game with me on this occasion ???? Recommended ????Reviewer Rating

So Glad I Got To Play Here
Truly fantastic course. Great mix of holes that enables the better player to score well whilst alsogiving a higher handicapped player the chance to get round the course without getting "beaten up".
Not a weak hole on the course, tees and fairways were lush, bunkers were as good as I've played
for a long time and the greens were so fast and true. Will definitely be returning.

Great fair test of golf. Nice friendly atmosphere & the course was in excellent condition overall for the time of year. Friendly well stocked pro-shop & great views from the clubhouse.

Having played here in a recent Ladies Open it was a very lovely day! The course was stunning, can only imagine what it plays like in the summer. All staff were wonderful and the Open was very well planned and run. Will definitely be back again

As we were in the area, my brother & I played at Coventry GC in late Feb and although the weather was not good, the course was in terrific condition for that time of year,
They had obviously carried out significant work on several greens in recent months ad despite this they putted very well indeed.
A fine course and we will return.

What a gem of a course. Played here recently in a society day and have to say it was well worth the visit. Even for the time of year, the course was in excellent condition, greens very true, grounds very well kept and proved to be a fair test of golf. Club pro's were very friendly and helpful, clubhouse gives great views down the 18th and is a top place to grab a post-round beer! We'll definitely be back!

Took part in a company golf day which was very well organised and catered for and the course was in top condition especially the greens.

Invitation Day at Coventry Golf Course, greens a little slower than they have been but rolled true, 41 points for my guest and I and we left a few out there! (Round played: Jul 2016 - Score: 87 Handicap: 17.8)

A rainy day
The autumn colours were starting to show, pit there was no sunshine. On a dank day my golf was inconsistent but as ever at Coventry the greens were in good condition and difficult to read. The course played longer because of the wet conditions but that didn't impact on the need to play with precision and good course management to score well. Yes I would play again and hope my striking off the tee would be much improved.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 95 Handicap: 18.4)

Superb As Always
This is my 3rd time playing here and it never fails to be anything other than a thoroughly enjoyable experience. A friendly welcome is always received in the Pro Shop. Top quality food and drinks in the clubhouse are always at hand.The course truly is one of the best you will find not only in the Midlands but in my eyes the country. Very well presented and it will challenge all aspects of your game.
If you're looking for a game and want to play a top course without the ?Top? fees then Coventry really is the place to visit.

High Class
The 2 days before we visited there was plenty of local courses closed due to 2 days of consistent rain. Coventry held so well I was actually in shock, not one spot where there was standing water on the course.Its a tight yet friendly course as all holes are treelined. However 9 times out of 10 - as long as you are sensible - you can get back out. I played as part of a society day that hand handicaps ranging from 5 to 36 and everyone equally enjoyed the course.
Not all holes require a driver and there are some very well placed bunkers and water hazards.
The greens were superb and whilst held a ball really well also rolled true - some are very undulating too!
A course I look forward to playing again!

Nice course, not too difficult but still a challenge
The club itself is nicely presented, not too old, but still traditional. The pro shop is compact but excellently stocked, with excellent advice on hand from the pros. They have buggies to rent as well as push/pull and powakaddy trolleys for hire also, none of which were excessively priced. £10 for the Powakaddy, which was in excellent condition and worked faultlessly.There’s plenty of practice facilities, nets, putting green, pitching, “range”, all in excellent order and there’s enough to satisfy even the biggest of society days.
The course itself is nicely laid out, both with challenging holes and more straight forward ones. Some tough hazards to avoid, but also gradients that allow you to test your skills more...even a golfer as bad as me was able to enjoy it though as the course isn’t hard to the point where you spend half your time looking for balls. Greens are excellently maintained, as is the rest of the course, with various notices around both encouraging good course care and also actively looking for those prepared to assist in keeping the course in good condition, which showed their commitment to keeping the course nice.
The clubhouse has a nice bar and restaurant with nice food and a good selection of drinks, drinks are a bit pricey at £2.50 for a tall Diet Pepsi, but if you’re going to a clubhouse expecting to get cheap drinks, you probably shouldn’t be in there.
Very enjoyable course, members are friendly and somewhere I’d recommend.
