What the club says: Cardross Golf Club was founded in 1895. The current golf course layout benefited from design changes recommended by James Braid, which were implemented in 1921.

Cardross has also played host to the Scottish Professional Championships in 1992, which was won by the then future Open Champion Paul Lawrie.

Generous undulating fairways and large deciduous trees are features of the golf course and it tends to play much longer than the yardage suggests.

Nice course

A wet day but the course stood up well to the constant rain. Course presentation was excellent and the greens were in very good order. Staff very helpful and welcoming. Only criticism would be the size of the tree in the middle of the fairway at the 14th.

Okay

Remarkably dry after all the rain. Greens a bit of a lottery but that is understandable. Friendly and pace of play was good

Warm welcome from the pro's shop & a very good & well kept course.

Upon arrival the chap in the pro's shop was very welcoming and made me feel at home. The course is immaculately maintained and the greens were very good. It's also quite a scenic course and it is a course I definitely recommend playing.

argyllshires finest

a wonderful golf course fairways and greens in pristine condition apart from 1 green where there was a few unrepaired pitch marks which is no fault of the greenkeepers a stamina sapping test as the course is set in the hillside of carmen highly recommended....footnote if you want food be aware that they only serve until 15:00

Sadly not the course it once was. Having remembered this course as well drained with lush green fairways it now wet and covered in yellow moss, especially the 4th,10th & 14th holes. The course looks tired and in need of some investment, the clubhouse also is crying out for an upgrade.

Very nice course and impressed with layout and general condition. Thoroughly enjoyed my day (played 36 holes) and no complaints other than to say that if you want a shower then forget it as they are not fit for purpose.
