Buxton & High Peak Golf Club, formed in 1887 and designed by J. Morris, is the oldest club in Derbyshire. The course overlooks the old Roman spa town with superb views over the Peak District National Park. The course is based on free draining limestone, and is certainly one of the most consistently playable in the area. Often influenced by the prevailing winds, the 5,966 yard par 69 course provides members and visitors with a challenging and enjoyable test of golf. Although set some 1100 feet above sea level, the course is not subjected to arduous hill climbs. The Clubhouse overlooks the first and eighteenth fairways and provides a bar, lounge and excellent catering facilities with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.Book a Tee Time

What a fantastic course, let us get in a round even though they had a medal on.

played with a friend on a saturday morning, it was a decent course, bit of a pain to keep crossing the road, found it very difficult on a first look, would imagine it gets easier on the second round, will go again at some stage

Very nice course. Greens were immaculate except the 3rd but I'm sure that will be sorted by the looks of the usual green.

Beautifully laid out course & quite fair. Water only on one hole. Had a chat with a couple of the Green-keepers on the way round, very friendly guys. Look forward to playing again on a dryer day when the views shouldn't be obstructed by thr low cloud!!
