Played on Thursday 24th April on a glorious wind free morning. The day started off not particularly well with the "difficult" pro insisting we wait 30 mins for our tee time..fair enough, we were early but not one group started and the group we had to wait for 30mins later let us through on the third hole...utterly ridiculous decision by the less than welcoming Professional that tainted the trip. As for the course, its in pretty fine fettle with the fairways cut well and defined. The greens however were simply unplayable. They have been cut in multiple directions with what appears to be a flymo!...Consequently, you got grossly inconsistent reads and speeds from each green. The grain is all over the place with bobbles and tufts of uncut grass...a real shame that lets down an otherwise nice course with a lovely big clubhouse. The scores are influenced both by the Professionals poor and disappointing welcome and the dreadful consistency of the greens. Belvedere, Filey, Flamborough and the two courses in Scarborough offer a better experience with greens that are a least playable.

Great course & views

Played as part of a society visit on 9.9.17.
Found the course a great challenge, we were fortunate there was no wind, as I can imagine it is a challenge when there is. loved the 3rd hole. Nice positioning on OOB on 9th, you have to think your way round, had the advantage of playing with someone who had played the course before.
Friendly staff, lovely meal after round. Great views from the clubhouse.

alan day (tollbar golf society)

After visiting The Links for the last 16 years I have to say that this years visit (24th June) has been by far one of the best, the tees, fairways and greens were terrific, the rough is what you would expect rough to be, however the fairways are wide enough for you to avoid the trouble,(but you will struggle to get out of it if you pay it a visit. Onto the staff, and the Pros (Nigel & Daniel) cannot be faltered for their dedication to making the day special, this also goes to the catering staff as well. Our society has players with handicaps from 6 to 28 and this course is a challenge for them all. If you have not yet visited Bridlington Links you need to do it ASAP as you do not know what you are missing.

After playing the links course now for ten years as a society we have never had any reason to complain about any of the facilities available to us, the course has always been in good condition, the catering staff have been very good (even on days when there has been a function on) and attentative towards us. I would recommend anyone to pay a visit. Our last day there was Saturday 24th June 2014.

Wow, what an improvement. I last played The Links 2 years ago and thought the course was good but the greens and general condition was rubbish.

You can tell that work has been done on the course, as it looks beautiful. Ok the greens are not perfect but still a huge improvement, and for the time of year pretty good. It looks like they will only improve over the coming year.

A course of two 9's, the front nine is fairly easy but the back nine is as tough as it comes. A really enjoyable challenge.

The food and service were 1st class, and the clubhouse is stunning, the view from the balcony is as good as anywhere i've visited.

All in all a very pleasant surprise, and I will be back later in the year.

Played here beginning of April 2013.

Vastly improved greens, fairways and bunkers since last year. Wooliness gone from greens and putts running true again. Wind was up on the day and added to the challenge.

Good pro-shop & well stocked and made to feel welcome.

Clubhouse had a makeover since last year. Food at the restaurant was excellent and good value.

One of their staff who was very rude. Been in the past to use the range and staff were freindly, but on the last time we were so offended by the comments of one green keeper, we left early.
Never got round to playing there though so can't comment on the course. Club house is OK, has a basic gym, driving range is a little tatty, grounds near range have been ruined by development of log cabins.
Being a local business man it is very upsetting to go to club where some of staff treat you like muck. Glad I didn't go for the membership!
This is one golf club, I will not be returning to. Will try the other club on the South Side, no range but if the staff are friendly it will be plus!

Greens were very poor indeed in September 2011, they were better in April 2011. Good set up, excellent clubhouse and holes, but greens lets it down.

Good Deal

This course has been panned in recent reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. There are a couple of bunkers that were overgrown and perhaps should have been marked as GUR but most of the bunkers were fine, the greens and fairways were in good shape and the course provides a good challenge.
Don't be put off, the course is excellent value for money in a lovely cliff top setting.

i have visited this for many years when on holiday, it has always been our no1 pick. however last week on holiday we went again and were very disappointed. The site is being converted into many ownership lodges which come with membership to the golf course. Unfortunately pure leisure group are more interested in being the site up for the lodges and no money is being spent on the course maintenance. Fairways were not cut and were far too long. First cut you should be able to see your ball but again were far too long. The greens were awful, not that many years ago I went to the pro to compliment then on their greens. Next year we shall be looking elsewhere to enjoy our golf.
