What a fantastic golf club. Very welcoming to non members. Course is very well maintained. Lots of water in the bunkers but can't blame the club for the weather. Will be glad to return early next year.

Course was in very good condtion. The greens were very good and consistent. Played with a meber with a free pass so value for money was excellent. the nature of the course is such that you have to think about the club you choose off the tee and not always a driver or 3 wood

Super course - I always enjoy my round here !
Lots of water hazards, you really need to think your way around here
A good test of golf for all levels.
Usually in excellent condition, however, some areas can be a bit soft underfoot, great greens.
Superb clubhouse with health club.
I would highly recommend a visit.The Course

Slightly biased, maybe, as a member.
Branston is a tough, tree lined parkland course. Bordered by the River Trent.
With water featuring on 13 holes and the river never far away, bring extra balls.
The difficulty is added too by a 604 yard par 5 (8th) and several 400+ yard par 4's. And the last must be mentioned, a fairly short Par4, it is tight, lined with ditches both sides, trees also run the length of the fairway and to top it off there is water surrounding the green on 3 sides, with the clubhouse patio and OB at the rear. Easy....
Making a score needs good long tee shots, not always with a driver and accurate shots to tricky and undulating greens, The greens can be excellent, but the last 2 years has seen them suffer due to some flooding, this has caused them to require some remedial work. But the club has recently invested in its own micro-tiner and a green iron, initial results are very good and they are hopeful that the greens will be up to past glories, if we get a decent dry spell. Here's hoping.....
Price wise, the course is a little pricey, but as a members guest, it's £16 a round and £20 at weekends.
The clubhouse and bar are excellent, with very good food and a choice of local real ales or draught lagers (they've just added San Miguel).
And there is very little finer, than sitting on the patio overlooking the 18th, watching fellow golfers choke and knock their 2nd shots in the water. Again.

Lovely course, with the Trent running alongside 5 holes and water hazards on 10 other holes. When it is good its very good. Decent greens, usually run true and fairly quick.

As I am a member here, I can say that I know the club well. If you come as a visitor, I think its £36, but as a guest, it can be as little as £18. (By the way, if any body wants a game, email me and we could sort something out). First 9 can be tough, with water on 8 of the 9 holes. Back 9 is good, but some members say flat, but I like it. The 18th is one of the best finishing holes you will ever play. The club house and leisure facilities have won first prize in the national leisure club awards. So yes I would say very good, when you can play it. (Prone to flooding!).

Fabulous finishing hole. Your practically sat on the 18th green when your watching from the 19th! The audiance makes for some tense/nervous shots from those coming in.
