Really disappointing day, loud and vulgar language from members in the bar started the day off on a bad note and as visitors we were made to feel as if they were doing us a favor by letting us play, I refer to Members, the staff were actually very friendly.\\\\\\\\The course itself is decent, a good length but has some odd holes which don\\\\\\\'t flow with the rest of the design.\\\\\\\\My advice - don\\\\\\\'t try to play when there are big cliques of members either in the clubhouse or playing just before of after you.

Course is in great shape after all the snow has cleared
Frosty on some green made the ball shoot a bit but fairways in great condition
Not my best effort today got beat by 6 shots but was not very focused and my playing partner had a blinder too
£10 a tad steep but for the quality of course its not to bad

Played at this course the other day and had a fantastic round of golf. I felt the course was in very good condition giving the time of year and weather we\'ve had over the last several months, especially the greens which i felt were receptive and true. The staff were very polite, helpful and just generally really friendly. Although we didn\'t get chance to use the gym the other facilities such as driving range and practice areas were superb. The restaurant was very nice and staff were wonderful and the same can be said about the food which was very nice. The whole day was fantastic and as you can tell from my many compliments this course is well worth visiting and i wouldn\'t hesitate to play there again.

As mentioned the 18th is a nice finishing hole and on a hot day a test of nerve with a full patio watching!

Played here quite a bit as an alternative to our local club for a change, we go hoping the club and course live up to expectations but always leave feeling it does not match its own promotion and promises.

Some holes are very good and some have the feel of an idea that was not finished.

The course itself also some scruffy areas and although the booking/reception sounded helpful and said the correct things in reality the opposite was true.

Found the spikes bar to be a bit dissapointing and had the feeling from the members there that we were shouldn't be in their domain and they were a bit loud and vulgar, however once we went outside onto the patio it was a nice view with decent food. Seems no one is allowed to disturb or sit to close when the gambling school is playing!

The club house is very nice with great facilities but members not very welcoming to visitors (this is based on a number of rounds over a few years)

The course is also prone to flooding and has been not playable for weeks/months at a time

Also saw some behaviour off members that left a bad impression and gave the impression that certain members could behave in an unpleasant and derogatory manner.

Overall a club/course with potential to be something better than it is, but let down by a percentage of members and some holes that could have been designed better (the course was redesigned in 2000 so some questions should be asked about the design then).

Would recommend as place to place as long as you don't pay the full price (not worth it) and you don't play when it is a busy members time, although it is ideal for a group or society.

Nice course with some attractive and testing holes,front 9 has many holes that have water in play so bring some extra golf balls,back 9 a lot easier with a few holes you can really attack,only real criticisms the dreaded winter mats on the front 9(even though a grassed area could have been made available on each hole) amd a few greens with pitch marks which could have been repaired,but nice to complete a round in 3hrs with no hold ups and the 18th is a nice finishing hole.
