Most par 3 courses tend to be almost field-like courses where you can see all of the other holes. That certainly isn't the case here with lots of tree lined holes that wouldn't be out of place on full courses. They certainly mix up the distances too, with holes stretching from 100 yards to 200+.

The greens were okay rather than good, while the tees generally looked like a few divots had been taken out of them. I know that bunkers are supposed to be hazards, but I have no idea what was in the bunker at the 2nd hole. It wasn't sand, and it wasn't pleasant trying to play out of it.

If you're looking for a quick 18 holes that won't cost the earth and allows you to use all of your clubs, then Broughton Heath should be considered as an option.

Excellent par 3 course.

Brought on golf course is an excellent par 3 course. It is kept in good condition with true greens and well maintained bunkers. The cost is low, especially the Monday deal. Recommended.

Enjoyed the course but, the greens were fluffy and not consistent. The sand in the bunkers is was more like soil and not good quality.

Nice short game practice

Reasonable price, course in good condition but tee areas could with a little maintenance.
Greens a little bumpy and dry. Challenging course, ideal for short and mid iron practice.

Always enjoyable!

Really good test of Golf. Yes it's a ?Par 3 course? but it's got to be one of the longest in the country?it's no pitch and putt. Greens are always top notch through the summer months.

The second hardest ss in derbyshire after derby golf club. probabaly the best opening 5 holes outof all the derbyshire golf courses. a good test for all. you will use pitching wedge through to 3 wood. the short hitters might even use driver.

Perfect for brushing up on shorter game

An 18 hole par 3 course. Average hole length 160yds (yellow) ranging from 115-215 yds.
Recommended if you want to brush up on your accuracy with the longer clubs, or are new to the game. It makes a difference when your 5 iron, 3-wood (or driver in my case) is aiming at a green and not a 30 yd wide fairway.
A flat course, few trees and bunkers GUR. Tee area a bit untidy and greens average to good
It's not the prettiest of places but as a good practice it ticks the boxes. Although physically its only 2900yds, mentally its draining because you have to concentrate on every tee-shot
good value - recommended
