The course is good, upkeep is tidy too. Could do with bins on each hole for the cans of lager that have been scattered about. Another draw back is the amount of dog walkers. But all on all suitably impressed as this course has matured well. Enjoyed the round too.

A nice course to play in the nicer weather, if the weather has been not so good it is prone to flooding in places. A good long uphill par 5 to get your swing going. All in all this is one of the better council courses at a good price. And a nice pint in the 19th hole.

One of the better local council courses. A good layout with some testing holes. Tee boxes in good order. Greens a bit slow like most council courses. Recently some bunkers have been redesigned so it appears there is some thought that goes into managing this course which is great to see. Worth a round for the money!

This course has the potential to be a great course.I agree with Mark the kids playing can be really off putting.If the course was more secure it would be great,as they are making a big effort after playing there the last 3 years i have seen massive improvements keep it up guys lovely course aspecially the par 3 over the lake.LOVE IT!!

The greens are starting to improve, the main problem here is the kids who play football, ride bikes across the course and generally cause a nuisance to golfers. This could be top course if they could secure it better.

I have had a season ticket at brandhall for over 12 months and while brandhall offers good value for money and recently they are dealing with the drainage mid course the greens are in a terrible state!!!
Played here yesterday and 41 putted and i putted well! from 10ft if you two putted you we're lucky. I have played on better temps than these greens. IMO the should have put the course on temps for the winter but won't because of fear of lost revenue? I WILL NOT BE RENEWING MY SEASON TICKET due to this.
The greens have signs of vandalism and very patchy and bobbly. If the greens could be sorted out then this would be a decent course but untill then i will be staying away.

Playing in the winter, you are never going to see a course at its best but, whilst very cheap and better than a lot of municipals, the course lay out was confusing when playing first time and the map you were given was less than helpful. It also got congested in parts with greens and tees close by (though not as bad as Harborne.)
Overall not too bad and certainly a good price but with Hilltop so close by for the same money you get a much better course

Although Brandhall is not a long course it is still a challenging course where accuracy off the tee is important. A lot of work has been carried out by the greenkeepers and the course is playing well. I would rate it as the best municipal course in the area.
