Bowood Golf & Country Club
Working with the natural beauty of majestic rolling parkland, with a wealth of mature trees and lakes, Thomas' brief was to create a course to be enjoyed by all who wished to play. With a range of tees on every hole, the higher handicapped golfer is not overwhelmed by too difficult a course, yet from the back tees in events which include the European Challenge Tour Championships, even the greatest from the professional ranks find this stunning course a challenging test of their skills. Fantastic course, long and challenging but not unpayable. Would advise the purchase of a course planner to aid with the blind shots / doglegs as it can be tough first time round. Above all else, a very nice friendly welcome and BEAUTIFUL course in great condition.

WOW WOW WOW
This course is beautiful. You have to come and play this.
Stunning setting, beautiful course, fabulous hazards wonderfully set.
Every hole had its own elegant chalenges.
I'm going back when I can really play to enjoy the course at its full potential.
Fabulous. There are not enough great words to do this course justice.

Very long and challenging - not for the faint hearted - played with some high handicappers who I didn't really see for the whole round!!!
If of a reasonable standard then the course is excellent - greens, fairways and bunkers all in good condition. Pray its not windy as the course is long enough as it is without that hassle.
Be careful there are a couple of hidden water hazards that aren't visible from the tee!
Definitely on the list to play again.....The Course

A fantastic challenging course for any club golfer. Althought he green fee (£49) would put most people off. Georgeous fairways albiet narrow and snooker table greens make the round a pleasure and well as a pain. However the rough had recently been cut and the bales left so if you strayed off the fairway you would be lucky to find your ball. Which is an unnecessary waste. Also a very long course.
A pleasure to play it but expensive. The Course

Great value for money on the 2-4-1 scheme, testing course - rough is a nightmare in the summer. Bar area a bit small.

A long challenging championship course. It plays well over 7000 yards from the back tees. Wide fairways but lots of traps, so a tough round. In very good conditions when we played it in October. I definitely recommend it if you have a chance to play it.
