Blyth Golf Club
Developed on land where once stood a pit head and it's entire mining community, Blyth has matured and developed into a tree-lined par 72, parkland course - but don't be fooled by its gently undulating character. Its first six holes are a test for any golfer. Negotiate them without dropping too many shots and you'll be set up for a good score.
But beware - there are some cunning water hazards on 9,12,13 and 14 that demand a strong nerve and a sure stroke. They don't call the 13th hole 'Sinkers' for nothing!Contact Information

I played Blyth golf club last week for the first time ever, what a suprise i got, even in mid November still summer greens, which were perfect, and also the fairways are still in lovely condition, some lovely holes, some tricky on the front 9.
What a gem of a course,in superb condition.
Only 20 mins North of Newcastle.
I will be playing here more regularly, brilliant course and nice friendly staff in the club house as well. The Course

Played on all 18 winter greens; the majority of them were as good as many greens are in spring, if a little small. A very enjoyable winter round.

Only my second round of golf but course much harder and rewarding than Bedlington, my other local. Two great water holes, and a chalenge throughout the round. Plus used vouchers to half the cost!! Can't wait to play again in the next few weeks!

Pleasant course with friendly staff. Good variation of holes, with well protected greens. Wayward tee shots will be punished hard. There are lots of bunkers, so you may well get plenty of bunker practise. Been twice this week, and both times the course was quite busy.

Blyth is a pleasant parkland course with a good mixture of holes - doglegs to the left and right and 2 par 3's over water. The first 6 holes provide a stern opening and if you can play to your handicap on these holes you are set up for a decent score on the more picturesque back nine. Everyone is friendly on and around the course, especially the staff in the modern bar which overlooks the 1st tee.

'Blyth was absolutely fabulous and the people there were just wonderful. The fairways were in very good condition and the greens small tricky little suckers but they were very good quality. The club is well worth a visit, the clubhouse and hospitality are second to none'
