I found that overall the course was very well maintained, the fairways and greens in my opinion are very good and that the putting surface was true, the only fault that I found with the greens were the numerous unrepaired pitch marks indicating the level of inconsiderate golfers that play!! there. Although I never landed in a bunker my 4 ball stated that they were excellent and very well sanded.

crown golf considering this is H/O course of crown golf when i first played it was poor ,but they have done a lot of work on course and general maitenance it is now a very nice course to play

unusual set up for a par 70 course. Short par 5's. Monstrous par 3's of 200 plus yards
generous fairways.

Greens were very fast considering the amount of rain that fell the day before and considerable faster than when we played earlier in the year.
We paid £29 for full breakfast/hand warmer/minature brandy or whisky/pie of the day for lunch then gave prizes of 4ball & 2ball
with very freindly staff.
Very good value.

The course is rather strange with a longer opening 9 and then a tighter back 9. Not very well balanced due to a couple of 200+ yard par 3s and a 460 yard par 4 mixed in with 270 yard par 4s. Greens were in a bad state, patchy and covered in sand. We got the round for £18 and i wouldnt have been happy paying much more than this.

played on last Saturday course was dry the greens had been spicked and it made almost impossable to putt, good day out ruined by bad greens
