Always enjoyable but fairways need some attention
I've played the main course here 3-4 times now and always enjoy it. Prices seem to have gone up since my last visit but just about value for money still. It's a good layout with some tight holes and numerous doglegs, framed by mature trees. Greens were generally ok if a little soft and bobbly; but lots of unrepaired pitchmarks on nearly every green not helping the green keepers task. Fairways were the biggest issue however, even for August not much grass and lots of bare lies. Will return again but hope for better fairways.Reviewer Rating

Ripped Off
I played on Sunday 2nd April and was made to feel i was getting a good deal by paying the online price of £45 in the pro shop instead of the £50 summer rate. I was most certainly ripped off. It was carry bags only and the course was in awful condition. I understand we have had a lot of rain so the decision should have been to close the course and if it had to stay open for financial reasons then winter rates should have been extended. Because of this experience I wont be going back as there are so many good courses to choose from.Reviewer Rating

Course in great condition
We last visited almost exactly a year ago and my review then was that the layout was enjoyable as always but that the greens and fairways in particular needed some attention, as even for August there wasn't much grass and lots of bare lies. Well, what an improvement in just 12 months! Yes it's been a much wetter summer this year but credit to the green keepers as the greens and fairways were really impressive. We've been playing here roughly once a year for the last 5 years or so, and this was by far the best condition we've ever seen the course in. They've also done up the clubhouse, though we didn't take advantage. We played Saturday late afternoon and almost had the course to ourselves. If the M25 hadn't been so bad i would have used the practice area beforehand too but my partners said it was in equally great condition. Look forward to returning.Reviewer Rating

nice course
First visit and was impressed, mature tree lined course with a number of interesting holes, well kept greens, a good challenge but not ridiculously tough, would play again(Round played: Jul 2020 - Score: 89 Handicap: 19.2)

Decent tree lined course
First impressions are very good as you walk to the first tee with the impressive clubhouse behind you. As for the course, individually the holes are all very nice, with lovely greens and very good tees and fairways. However, as I walked off the course I was trying to think of any memorable holes and struggled to do so. With the exception of the 13th, the only hole with a view of the local countryside, the rest of the holes are fairly tight and tree lined. We did (I think) see the course marshall chase the slow group up in front of us, which is something more courses should do, but we'd had a pretty slow 15 holes up to that point. It was a warm and sunny Sunday afternoon, so maybe it's to be expected that the round is going to be slow.
It's a decent course in very good condition, and we had a very pleasant welcome at the shop, but it's not one I'd rush back to.

I like out the layout & there are plenty of trees to be negotiated or avoided so not the best place to be lose your accuracy of the tee. Bunkers were mixed between nicely sanded or not.

Nice food, shame about the mud
Incredibly muddy and wet. Nothing on website to say it was carry only or thay the course was closed the day before. Staff in the restaurant were very welcoming and food was lovely.Reviewer Rating

Contacted the course on the morning and told it was carry only, so light golf bag and a few clubs.
Enjoyed the course and the staff at the club were very helpful and pleasant.
Thank you to Martin in the golf shop.
