Abbeydale Golf ClubThe course was designed by the famous architect Herbert Fowler, who was also renowned for other such designs as Walton Heath and The Berkshire. Set in 111 acres of the beautiful Beauchief Estate, it provides an absorbing challenge for golfers of all handicaps and retains some of the best views of the Derbyshire countryside to be seen anywhere in Sheffield.

Golf course review of Abbeydale Golf Club

Fantastic golf club. Always very welcoming. Course provides plenty of challenges. Testing mix of holes in super condition especially from March onwards as fairways protected during winter months. Use of the Sheffield natural landscape, hills,elevated tees/greens, trees make for some great views too. Personally like the par 3's on the front 9 and watching any brave enough to take out the dog leg on the first.

Golf course review of Abbeydale Golf Club

Although visited in winter, the course remains in excellent condition, all credit to green keeper and staff. Meals in club house are very good with good choice. Bar prices reasonable. Staff friendly and curteous. The opening hole sets out just how spendid and attractive this course is, but be warned it does play to its par.
