Lees Hall Golf Club
Lees Hall Golf Club was established in 1907 as a 9 hole course, increasing to 18 holes in 1911. The 18 hole parkland layout which has stunning views over almost the whole of Sheffield was designed by Alex Herd, the Open Champion of 1902.Situated on the south side of Sheffield, easily accessible from the M1 (north and south) and the Sheffield Ring Road, Lees Hall Golf Club has been recognised by many, as one of the friendliest and sociable Clubs in the area.

Not a bad course to play in winter, only 2 temp greens and wasn't too wet. Some very interesting holes. I would play this course again.

Excellent shop friendly and helpful staff. Course in poor condition on temps and mats. Talking to members best time to visit is around there invitation day in June two weeks ether side it is the only time its is worth a visit. Genrally lots better value courses in the area and kept better all year round give it a miss food was cold and slightly overpriced.

1st time at this course and the weather was rainy and windy and followed a week of rain, however there were only 4 temp greens in play. The others played well and the course was challenging with a few signature holes and more than its share of Par 5's to test the high handicapper. Price was £15 on teetimes bit could have had it for £10 if i had just telephoned the club. Nice facilities and will definately come back when the weather is a little better in the spring because with a lot of heavy tree lined holes, the course I'm sure will feel very different.

being on the side of a hill looking over sheffield, it remains real wet in the low parts of the coarse. there for some temp greens are still in play. but that said all the greens looked to be in good nick and the ones in play were fairly quick. with it being winter and a monday 18 holes was priced at £10, which is good value even with the temps. I will be back in the summer.
