Played Dec 13 as part of League to Dubai competition. Fabulous condition and stunning views from most tees. The greens were large, true and quite fast but playable. It clearly is a links course but I didn't find it played like one - the greens were very receptive and there was not a great deal of roll on fairways - I guess due to watering. This is not a criticism, just an observation - it is one of the best courses I have ever played

Based on Yas Island next to the race circuit, this is not the most picturesque course, but was in beautiful condition and great fun. For some reason it played very slow - the best part of 5 1/2hrs that the marshalls weren't able to sort out, but still a great day out.

Best course in the UAE. It's a fantastic challenge for any golf lover. The new water park takes a little away from the natural surroundings - however, the course is outstanding - at times you could be in Cornwall, Norfolk or Scotland with very sunny weather. The only thing horrible about the course is the rough in which you could lose your children in!

The is by far one of the best courses in the UAE and I would reccomend playing this if you have a chance.
It is not for the faint hearted though as it is as challenging as it comes.

As you would expect from the courses in the UAE, another example of an immaculate course so on that basis a 'links' is a slight mis nomer. Yes it's near the sea and if that is the basis for a links then it is but you will never get the bounces and the variety if shot making needed on a true links. Beautifully manicured fairways, well placed bukers and some fairly tricky greens. Stunning course and a must play if you are in the area. A bit pricey but hey, worth blowing the budget.Oh, and great sea views and over sea shots.

For some reason we were booked to play at 3.30pm and when we turned up they had changed the booking to 5pm for no reason. Luckily they managed to rebook us at 3.20pm, this happened to some other colleagues the previous week as well.
The food is usually excellent at the restaurant but I think the chef has changed and the quality was poor.

A very leisure round of golf.

Great course but lots of GUR and the greens are very bobbly. Difficult course to play because of the links style lay out with thick rough and water on lots of holes
