This course is in a sorry state. In all my years of playing golf the greens are the worst I have played on. No consistency, bare patches everywhere, grass too long and casual water on every green.
Very disappointing. A course I will definitely never be going back to.

I called the pro shop & found the assistant to be very informative & helpfull. I asked for a 0730 Tee and was told that guests usually have to wait untill 0800 when the shop is open but if we could get off at 0730 then go ahead & pay on round completion which was very well accepted by me & my partners.
The course was in very good nick & all the tees were in use and well kept, 1 or 2 fairways had some pretty deep divots & 2 greens were under some pretty extensive repair. This is a positive comment considiring the time of year & the state of my local course!
Great staff, very nicely layed out course, decent condition & well worth the money.

Enjoyed the course but the greens were not very good. The fairways were very nice and cut well.
Worth a visit
They have some very nicely placed ponds and bunkers just to keep you on your toes

The course has a decent layout and could potentially be a good course but it was seriously let down by the greens. They were all in terrible condition and barely playable

Overall, a nice layout with a good variation in hole design; fairly open too, so unless you're particularly wayward the rough and trees shouldn't trouble you that much. There's a well stocked pro-shop, good range facility and reasonable club house too. Tees and fairways are well kept, and the bunkers are well sanded ... but the greens aren't as good as other local courses.

I played this course on a regular basis about 10 years ago then it was a fairly good course sand in the bunkers left a bit to be desired but overall a good course I played on 14/10/2011 and everything was pretty much the same but the greens they were the worst greens I have played on for a long time very bumpy bare patches large brown patches inconsistant speed HORRIBLE!!!!!

The course is in a nice setting with some reasonably challenging holes. Unfortunately the greens did let the course down a bit as some were a bit patchy, but did not detract from my day overall. Some elevated tees that you need to be accurate off. Book on line to get real value for money.

I liked this course it is quite challenging for my standard, fairways were in good condition and most greens was like walking on carpet. looking forward to playing it again soon.

Played in the snow today, course is in great condition considering the weather we have had

Very open course ... open to the elements, especially the wind! Fairways were a bit boggy and the temp tees were very cut up. The greens however were pretty good and reasonably fast. Used a 2fore1 so got good deal. Will play again when the weathers better. 19th nice. Friendly staff.

Played the 18 holes conditions a bit icy and ground hard, enjoyed the course open fairways, a nice course to play for all level of golfers.

I used to be a member here, but did not renew a few years back. Now I can remember why.
Very disappointed with the course. It's not often that you hit a fairway and then spend 5 minutes trying to find your ball because it has disappeared into a clump of clover. Poor fairways, very inconsistent, rarely giving the kind of lie you would expect (course management could learn a lesson from Cranham staff).
Greens were very hard, making it difficult to stop the ball on the green and many had serious scorch marks from the sun. The roll of the greens were inconsistent from hole to hole making it very difficult to read putts.
A shame really as the course does have some potential if given some appropriate care. Will not be going back for a good while.
