I have played all three courses at Canford Magna now. The Parkland is a bit more open with longer holes. The Riverside has a couple of long holes as well but is more narrow than the Parkland with water coming into play on a few holes. Par 3 Knighton is also very good if you wanted a shorter round with 3 tier greens, water hazards and woods as obstacles. All the greens were very good and well maintained even on the Knighton course.

Provides an enjoyable game of golf for mid to high handicappers.
Usually in good condition, however, some areas can be a bit soft underfoot especially on the Riverside Course.
Nice clubhouse.
Worth a visit.
Good Society venue - two courses and a Par 3 available.

on the day that i played this course i was dissapointed with the very poor quality of its greens.
And snobbiness of its members.
Overhaul play was ok and rather easy

A choice of two eighteen hole courses and a nine hole course to play, accompanied with a driving range, golf academy and a pitch and putt, what more can you putt for....
And on top of that all the staff from reception, to the bar, to keepers are ever so helpful and friendly.

The Parklands course at this present time is the best course I have had the pleasure to play on.
Great holes with fantastic greens the only downside to the course is if you slightly go off the fairway the rough is very deep and you are lucky to find your ball which is a shame.
This course is excellent value for money when using 2 for 1 vouchers.

This cluub has three courses of which I played the 9 holeKnighton course & then the Parkland Course recently.

The Knighton was in great shape but some of the hole postions we tough, I never hit many greens but my chipping & utting made up for that. (Who needs the flat stick?)

The Afternoon we playe the Parkland I liked the course just like when I was a member years ago but thought that the price was a little too much for me.

You can get around this course without having too much trouble without using the big clubs most of the time, you do have quite a bit of run off room if you stray providing you don't find water which there is a fair amount of.

17 & 18 are great closing holes which you need confidence on as all down the left you have Out of Bounds

It's not the parkland it's the knighton the 9 holer.Very short but it gets very windy.Use only your irons very good practise for acccuracy, plenty of sandbunkers to catch you out, a very nice course which compliments the whole complex

Both courses offer a fair number of creative holes. Unfortunately the one real downside is the very real possibility of slow play due to poor management of the 2nd and 3rd cut from fairways meaning people are spending too long looking for what rightly shouldn't be a 'lost' ball !

Canford has a number of courses and practice facilites. Visited a few times, and I guess must be one of the major facilities in the south of england. The courses are great fun, the holes are not overly long, and a few pars easily possible, but you will be punished as there is a fair amount of water, even on the "Parkland" course. Fairly flat courses, and a good test. Welcoming to societies, and all standards of golfer. A good day out, and good bar / patio areas.

There are three courses at Canford Magna. There is a driving range, which has both mats and a grass area. There is also a pitch and putt and numerous greens for putting. The only downfall with the course is that it on a flood plane, and is a the mercy of the river Sour and the Wessex water who close the gates at Longham when the is potential flooding, which may occur in Christchurch. Best course is definately the Parkland and then the Riverside. The riverside is currentl closed because of the flooding situation. The Riverside course could be improve by some more bunkers being put in. But I guess this won't happen as it the course that regulary floods during the winter season.

In my opinion the Lakeland Course is not as good as the Parkland but still very enjoyable. Great condition course for end of October
