Very picturesque but totally ruined by dreadful greens, very poor tees (winter tees in July?) and some poorly maintained fairways. It looked as though the ground staff had all gone on holiday. Prices were steep also. Advice - go to Lochmaben. Cheaper and much better condition.

Very short. Some interesting holes with amazing views. 18th is a great finishing hole and can be reached with a fairway wood but punishes inaccurate tee shots.
I played in the Open in a week where the weather was tremendous however the greens where in shocking condition!

The scenery is worth visiting for on its own! Course is undulating and not overly long, but has some testing holes.Visitors are welcomed and have their own changing room.Well worth a visit, especially in good weather.

Steep!

Enjoyable moorland course with a variety of holes. Blind holes a bit unsettling but some good holes that require accuracy as a priority rather than length. Steepest par 3 you’ll ever come across!

Superb

A superb course nestled in the lowlands of Scotland. It's a proper heathland course, with plenty of up's & down's & some absolutely stunning views.
The course is in great condition & played lovely.
Some may not like the blind shots into the greens of some holes, but I thought it added to the fun of it.
Look out for the par 3 9th. 120 yards & about 30 feet of climb, take at least two extra clubs.
Add to this the superb welcome in the nice clubhouse, which will be even better after it's refurbished.
Not the longest course, but one that is a pure pleasure to play on, if just for those superb views.

Great Value, interesting holes, spectacular view of moffat town on 18th which is a great driving hole to finish. Course rewards accuracy off the tee.

Must play

A must play course just of the M74 so either going North or South it's well worth playing. Really made welcome by the Steward who gave us some tips on playing the course. Mrs T enjoyed the round some great holes but for ladies number 9 is a challenge so be warned. Mr T was allowed to play off the whites again some really challenging holes watch out for some of the blind te shots but what a great course to play recommend to anyone just enjoy if you get over 34 points well played.

Really tricky track with superb views all around. Typical Scottish weather with four seasons in one round made the course play hard in places and easy in others. A very fine golf course.
