everything about this golf course is a positive. The rented clubs were good Modern Taylor Made, and reasonably priced. The course is challenging but enjoyable at the same time, and again very good value (particularly with the exchange rate) The buggy with the GPS was a new and a great fun experience, and all the staff were welcoming and very friendly.
The only downer was the group ahead holding us up for 9 holes and not letting us play through, but then thats not the course.
I almost didn't play a round as i haven't played regularly for about eight years, but driving past three perfectly kept holes every day on the way to Orlando parks, convinced me and I am so glad i did play. I only hit 100, but it has given me the golfing bug again. I have played every week since returning from my holiday and have bought some new clubs, all due to the great experience i had at Southern Dunes.
I cant recommend this course enough.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic!!! Beautifully maintained course with excellent greens and challenging terrain. The course is made from bermuda grass, so it is completley different to play on comapred to British courses, the fairways can disntregrate easily when playing a shot and the ball generally sits up on the rough due the consistency of the grass but once you get used to that fact the course plays excellently.
The terrain is similar to that of a parkland course, lots of undulating holes and greens. 186 bunkers are present on the course (hence the name!!) and agin the bunkers are well maintained, soft, thin sand with no stones. Many of the holes are forgiving but there are some very narrow holes with houses backing onto them (the course is set in and around a housing coummunity).
Club staff are friendly and welcoming and the club house is a fantastic building with a wonderful arrangement of facilities. If you book online you can get a round for $30 (currently £20 with the exchange rate at $1.50 to the pound) which includes a buggy.
Would thoroughly reccomend this course to anyone visiting the Orlando area.

Excellent course, lots of bunkers but beautiful fairways. Greens has been aerified making putting even more difficult then normal on this course! However a must if you are in the Orlando area and want to sample US golf.

I thought this course was excellent,tough but well looked after.The bunkers are tidy which is good considering how many there are.Everybody is very friendly.We did get a little lost at the begining with so many houses.Food was good.There was some great bargins in the pro shop.A must play kept in tip top condition.

Played here 3 years ago whilst on holiday. Ive never seen a 500 yrd plus Bunker before! Sat nav on all buggys as standard great help, in getting to know an unfamiliar course. Especially liked the refreshment lady that came round on a mobile catering van with extra cold beers!! Big course. Big facilities.. Even bigger Bunkers!!
