1. Course was unplayable and should have been closed. 2. No warning of temporary tees. 3. A pond infront of the 9th green that isn't even shown on the course guide. 4. The receptionist was unwelcoming and borderline rude. In summary, the highlight of the day was putting the gear back in the car.

Needs work to restore to former glory
Have played here many times but first time this year and it hasn't emerged from lock down in a good way, they've obviously got a problem with the grass on the fairways as they were very patchy and not because of the heat we've experienced. The greens were really bumpy but work on them may be planned for the near future (hopefully). Wouldn't recommend at the moment. Would play in the future if I heard work had been done, too much competition around the area to warrant the money.Reviewer Rating

I found Slinfold to be a bit quirky. Lots of doglegs, and sloping greens with difficult, bordering on illegal pin placements.

Played Slinfold for several years and really enjoyed the hospitality and the course. Played in August 2013 and found it wanting in several areas. Welcome was very cold. Food left a lot to be desired. Course was not as good as last year when I played it at the same time. No real pro shop. More emphasis on the Health Club these days to the detriment of the golf. Would recommend playing Rookwood a much better welcome and on this years evidence a better cared for golf course. Great shame but will probably not return.

1 fault i found was its a bit difficult to find your way round, ie from green to next tee,could do with some signs on tees saying which hole you are playing . and give yardage etc, as at moment nothing to give u any idea!! apart from that course seemed in pretty good condition after a shed load of rain night b4! was my 1st round in 5 years so needed as much help as poss!

Played the course several times previously over the last few years and was very disappointed this time round. Not informed club house being rebuilt so limited facilities. Course in poor condition with many areas marked up GUR.

Good local option

Good course
Lovely course and worth playing. Could do with managing tee off time from 2 balls and 4 balls, can get congested in places. The same with middle priced courses it needs water in this dry weatherReviewer Rating

Decent course with good variety
Pleasant parkland course with good mix of long and short holes. Some rather quirky holes with big/strangely located doglegs!(Round played: Apr 2018 - Score: 78 Handicap: 8.9)
