Designed by South African Phil Jacobs who was responsible for the design of The Links at Fancourt in South Africa and Ria Bintan in Indonesia, MBGC is one of the very few outstanding links-styled golf courses that you can find in Asia. The 6561 m, par 72 course features 91 dramatic yet treacherous pot bunkers of varying sizes and depth, tremendous variety in the length of the holes and many undulations to provide many hours of challenges and enjoyment to golfers. The signature holes of the quality course include the par-3 13th, complete with island green design. Marina Bay Golf Course is one of the few golf courses in Singapore to offer buggies equipped with the Global Positioning System. With a better overview of the golf course, golfers can strategize and improve their game. After a busy day at work, executives can enjoy a round of night golf available from Wednesday to Friday or practice their swings at the driving range. With 146 bays, the four-tier driving range is one of the largest in Singapore. The course also offers two practice putting greens and one chipping green for golfers, a pro shop, golf academy, a wellness centre and my golf kaki golf club. An excellent course with views of the Marina bay sands from many of the holes, and a fantastic view from club house terrace.

Very good or Singapore based people. Only 18 hole public Singapore course. No need to make golf an all day event by traveling to Malaysia or Indonesia

Sterile, man-made feel to this course. Main features are deep bunkers and plenty of water. Quite open with a lack of trees/greenery. Need to perform a swing test if no recognised handicap, which is no big deal but cost an extra S$10.

Warning Golfshake members beware! This course does not accept Golfshake handicap certificates. You need a USGA or R & A approved card or face a golf test with the Pro.

A great course with all the facilities and quality that you would expect from a premium facility in Singapore.
You will need to take a buggy, and this is a good thing because the heat and humidity is such that you will feel tired by the end of the round in any case.
There is plenty of geography to work your way around, but fortunately the rough is not too punishing. There is one Sawgrass style par 3 island green to test your mettle, and watchout for the wind which can blow up quite quickly.
It is a taxi ride from the centre of the city and quite a pricey fee, but worth it overall. The course is busy, so unless you are fourball you wil probably be playing with people you don't know. I played with some Koreans who were a great laugh, and we enjoyed a beer together afterwards in the outdoor cafe.

Very nice Public Links Course, recommended for visitors in Singapore. Remember you need a handicap certficate to play, but can be booked & paid for online even weeks before to ensure a good tee-time. http://www.mbgc.com.sg/... They claim it's probably the Best Pyblic Golf Course in Asia, and I don't doubt them!!
