What the club says: The Te Marua Golf Club course is an 18 hole A-grade entity with a rural atmosphere. The course is built on gently undulating ground adjacent to the Hutt River, with just enough elevation on some holes to provide an additional challenge. The river is in play on the first hole but runs adjacent to 8 holes and many balls end up working their way towards the Wellington harbour.

Fantastic parkland course situated 5kM North of Upper Hutt City in the Hutt River Valley.
Golf course located alongside State Highway 2 at Te Marua, however not that you would notice much traffic noise.
This golf course is a true gem.
Measuring 6100 Metres off the Men's standard white tees it is by no means short with six Par 5's on the card!!!
Beautiful tees, fairways and greens throughout and an extremely diverse array of holes with none of them being at all boring.
I was salivating just by standing on the first tee faced with a 400yd dog leg left par 4 stroke 1 hole needing a 200yd carry over the Hutt River for the first shot of the round......as if the game isn't hard enough!!!
All in all a very challenging course with spectacular scenery and wildlife considering the Hutt River meanders through the back of the course and features on a number of holes to catch those stray drives. Glad to say none of them were mine!!!
Loved the course so much I joined the club as a full 7 day member as soon as I arrived back at the clubhouse.
Clubhouse has great facilities although of an older generation. Good shop with lots of equipment at decent prices. Clubhouse with locker rooms, showers, bar and catering. Monday is definitely the day to go as we had the course to ourselves all day which is the norm here apparently. Would recommend the course to anyone.
