If you've not been here before then the important thing to understand is that it's not a real golf course. It's a field with slightly different cut grass and 9 flag poles. There are absolutely no facilities beyond a car park and toilets - if someone isn't waiting around to take your green fee they will chase up with you whilst you play.
It's a 'full-sized' course so it's fine to practice your driving and iron swings but that's it. The greens are beyond appalling and the few very small bunkers are just solid mud. The holes are all completely straight apart from the 9th that has a dog leg.
If you're after a place just to get some cheap after work practice in then it will do a job. Also the complete lack of any sort of dress code or rules means it's also good if you just have a group of people that don't play golf but fancy a round.

I think this course should be advertised as Pitch & Putt not 'Burghfield Golf Course', that aside it was as you'd expect, perfect for beginners, lots of long, wide fairways...the fairways could do with a trim...Not a bad course though although £9 is a little steep for what you get. I have seen better pitch & putts but it was an enjoyable round

Cheap and basic. It's for beginners and amateurs. Not pretentious in any way. Good place to learn and have a laugh.

Good value at £5 after 5pm on weekdays (cheaper than the driving range in Reading!) but not a great course as you would expect for this green fee. Short straight holes with few features, 'greens' (bits of the field mown a bit shorter) small and rough, general feeling of neglect. . Good for beginers or a bit of practice not worth travelling for.

This is not a golf course ut a field with some golf course like cuttings (at times) if you want a very cheap quick walk around nd unchallenging layout then give it ago.

This coures is a pitch putt coures . Unlike theale which is 6000yds long not in the same league it's like prem against blue sq so can we all rate the courses properly in future . At the moment thay r both on 3.5
