Burstwick Country Club
Burstwick Country Golf is a newly established golf club in the East Riding of Yorkshire - set in 115 acres of contoured, tranquil countryside. The club was created in August 2004, and has a bright future ahead with much prosperity.
The idea was to create a challenging course with winding fairways and demanding doglegs with well guarded greens. With the experience of Jonathan Gaunt as the architect, we knew the outcome would be fantastic.
The club has now been open over 4 years, and is maturing every step of the way, with trees growing and fairways thickening, and now over 350 members, the future looks promising.Contact Information

played the course as the new 18 will be nice when it matures many features are still developing, lots of gur and staked trees difficult to loose miss hit balls unless your on the 3rd and 4th with out of bounds all down the left

Excellent course, especially now it is an 18 hole course. With hazards popping up very close to your target area, any wayward shot will be rightfully punished.

Completely changed the way I play this course when they made it into a fantastic 18 hole from the original 9 hole course it was when it opened. Still no better place to be on a quiet still sunny morning. The additional 9 holes are well designed with more lakes, bunkers and undulating fairways. Makes you think more about your game & positioning than before when playing the same 9 holes twice. Still got a tiny clubhouse without catering (only downside really) But I feel this will obviously change once the club becomes more established. Probably the best new course in the East Riding.

Current 9 hole course, will be 18 hole soon (new back 9 opens 12th of August 2007). Old agricultural land with irrigation drain running alongside hole no. 3 (long par5) which you cross to the new back 9, fairways are very hard with bare patches and some gullys running in various directions on second hole. Course is not yet established and is still in it's infancy with small sibling trees on several holes. The small course is busy and this shows by the amount of usage on the tees, fairways & greens. 2 lakes on first 9 at 2nd & 9th holes. Slow greens. Driving range also attached to a small reception, club house. No catering facilities, limited bar service also serves tea & coffee. Some of this will change when it becomes a full 18 hole course as will the fees! £9 for 9 holes, £14 for 18 holes, open to non members, but best to check when competions are on, and book tee times in advance.
