Good course, slow greens. Could spend some money on simple things. Nicer tee boxes, pictures of the holes. Ball washers etc

In better nick than it was years ago, it was noticeable where greens had been cut and drainage works implemented. After a poor and wet few weeks weather wise, it was still recoverIng and still wet in some spots and dry and bare in others. Fairways had grown long and required cutting and when mixed with daisies made finding straight shots sometimes difficult. Still represents a fair challenge but more investment is still needed. It will be a while before I return. No dress code either.

Improving but pricey for the current conditions

This is the first time I've played Springhead in a couple of years, it used to be my go to course. The course does have an issue with drainage due to its location but after a reasonably dry spell we found a lot of boggy areas on numerous fairways. Some fairways were very long and more like short rough then fairway particularly the 8th. There was one temporary green on (12) the green looked very good but the temp was awful and basically a flag and hole in the ground with no effort to cut it short. Overall it is a challenge and I?d contemplate joining if they sort theses issues out, they are now charging summer green fees of ?16 but the conditions do not warrant the summer prices.

Played well. Fairways just cut and lots of clippings left loose. Greens pretty true and improved on years past.
