This 9 hole course was constructed in the early part of this century and opened in June 2005. It has been designed to use all the clubs in your bag and will present a challenge to all levels of golfers. There is a burn which runs through the middle of the course and this has to be negotiated several times during your round. There are no par 5's on our course but we have some of the hardest par 4's on Orkney especially the long uphill 3rd and the 8th with it's island green. The Standard Scratch is 68. The total length is 5508 yards and the Par is 66.No rating :

Location: Our course is situated within the village of St, Margarets Hope in South Ronaldsay, Orkney and is adjacent to the Bowling and Tennis clubs. It is 100 yards from the Cromarty Square on the Dr's Surgery road and is also within walking distance of Pentland Ferries Terminal, which serves the Gills Bay (Caithness) to St.Margarets Hope route. So you could leave your car at the Gills terminal and sail across in the morning, have a game of golf and return on the last sailing
