Golf course review of Burlish Park (Wyre Forest) Golf Club

Considering the last few reviews we were a bit concerned about playing here but as it was only £12.50 a round on a saturday we thought we would give it a go.From the moment we arrived in the shop we were glad we came,the staff were very friendly and could'nt do enough for our party. The golf course although not the hardest was in very good condition and the greens superb.For value for money and being made to feel welcome you will not find better than here and i for one am glad i did'nt listen to the above reviews.

Condition of first few fairways was very poor but improved later albeit not by a lot.
A lot of untreated weeds ie mown were in evidence and ground appeared baked and cracked.

Some very nice holes on the course and greens were very true if a little hard and slow.

Worth trying if you can get a discounted tee @ £10 or less but not otherwise currently.

Pity as the course has potential.

course was horrendous. fairways had weeds all over, most of the greens were bare and had virtually no grass on. worst golf course i've ever played at. do not play here! ombersely just up the road is a million times nicer.

Pretty dry compared to most at this time of year(November) and excellent value on 2 for 1 or deals where you can play for £8.50

Only played once, took a buggy and was glad I did as this was a long, hilly course.

Some parts of the course were very boggy and muddy but considering the time of year the ground was in good condition. One hole was shortened due to flooding it had been that we.

Quite alot of hold ups and quite a confusing layout, overall a good course which I would play at again.

This is a challenging links style course.

Some recent improvements - for example the lake by the 18th have added to an interesting aspect to course management.

If you can keep the ball straight, then you should do well. But anything wayward, tends to be punished.

There staff are helpful and friendly, the price of a game is reasonable and the food is good value for money.

Some new features make this a challenging course. you need to keep it straight and employ some good course management for a low score
