South Herefordshire Golf Club
The area is renowned for the beauty of its gentle rolling hills and picturesque valleys. The course has super views over the three counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire and in the far distance the black mountains of Wales. It really takes some discipline to concentrate out on the course as the panoramic views are breathtaking.
The club has the 6800 yard Twin Lakes course, a 12 bay floodlit driving range and a 9 hole par 3 academy course. The course has been improved by significant investment in new equipment, where the most obvious benefits can be seen on the tightly mown fairways and smooth fast running greens.

Location
Location: The club is easy to find near the village of Upton Bishop, near Ross-on Wye, just off junction 3 of the M50 and well signposted. So it’s an easy journey within an hour from Bristol, Birmingham or Cardiff.

A very good layout making you think about every shot. The fairways needed cutting and the greens were not great. A bit more care and attention would make this course a very good society venue. You need to be fit as the course has changing levels on just about every hole

Twilight and reduced green fees mean a good value for money round in enjoyable picturesque surroundings.
Greens seemed slow and a little inconsistent but otherwise course was good.
Proshop was closed upon arrival at 15:30 and clubhouse bar offered very little in the way of bottled drinks (no water or sugar free drinks) on a very hot afternoon.
Quite a tiring hilly walk on foot.Club Facilities and Services

Lovely course to play, though some fairways and greens do hold the water becoming very soggy. An enjoyable round, picturesque views, and a good test of golfing ability when the wind blows

Course was in great condition. Greens were fast but true. Got an evening discount on the round. Really good value.
Clubhouse has just undergone a major refurb. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Turned up on the off chance of a game, got deal 18 holes and main, so we all had breakfast, very nice it was as well, course was ok , but had topdressing week before so greens fast but a bit taddy, still I played ok and won the days money.
good deal had on new driver from Lewis in pro shop , very good customer service off him, club in process of being done up, so loads of work going on when we was there on the 31st April 09

PLAYED THIS COURSE FOR THE 1ST TIME 29 07 08, WHAT A COURSE, FANTASTIC VIEWS, EVERY HOLE DIFFERENT , LONG AND HILLY SO HAVE A BUGGY IF YOUR NOT FIT, GREAT VERY TOUGH GREENS GREAT FAIRWAYS, WE CANT WAIT TO GO BACK BEST COURSE IVE PLAYED FOR A LONG TIME,AND WE PLAY ALL OVER THE PLACE.
