Wow
Fabulous setting and a fabulous course.Oozing history in the clubhouse, but not at all stuffy. A friendly welcome and top notch service.
The course is visually spectacular. The fairways are manicured. The greens are slick. (The first green looks like it needs some TCL but after that they are superb.) Just don't go in the long grass, it's ultra punishing.

Updated Braid classic
Invested wisely in strategic repositioning of drive bunkers to provide a good test of risk reward decision making. Do't be fooled by a par 71, 6300 card, the well guarded greens compliment a strong course, with an unrivalled historic club house and museum of artefacts that were the origin of many everyday concepts, Medal, Open, Claret Jug ! Well worth a visit.Reviewer Rating

Course transformation over 3 years with Oldest golf club & museum is a
Strategic replacement and increase of very tactical bunkers re empahises the original risk reward layout of the 1925 Braid upgrade to a Tom Dunn 1892 design. Now almost 6300 par 71 it presents a good challenge for modern equipment but preserves amazing views of an iconic 17th century clubhouse and museum housing unique memorabilia which underpin much of the game's history.Reviewer Rating

A little gem in London
On my 1st visit to this course I wasn't overly impressed. Having palyed there a few times now it has grown on me. The front 9 is fairly flat and the back 9 has more interest. With hidden greens and a few hills. The course was in great condition with excellent greens. It's a gem of course especially if you live in the local vicinity. The food and drink is reasonably priced with a fair selection of stuff. Can't fault the welcome, everyone is always friendly.Reviewer Rating
