Reaseheath Golf ClubThe golf course at Reaseheath is a flat parkland type course extending to 40 acres (16 hectares). The 9-hole course is home to Reaseheath Golf Club, with just under 500 members. The course's origins, however, go back to the requirement to provide practical facilities for training purposes. Reaseheath Golf Club was founded in 1987, although there had been several holes created before that time. Reaseheath College has been training green-keepers and golf course managers for over 25 years. Although relatively short and only 9 holes, the course is ideal for golfers of all ages and standards. The length is suitable for beginners and young junior members, the flatness is suitable for older members who find full length courses, particularly undulating courses, too tiring. However, the relatively narrow fairways, strategically placed trees and hazards and relatively small greens, well protected by bunkers on most holes, provide a challenge for lower handicap golfers.
